Children love staying with Purple Ski....
....and so do their parents. We are always looking for ways to make your holiday and your children's as happy and hassle free as possible.
For instance, our chauffeured minibuses mean you don't have to worry about getting them and their ski equipment to or from the pistes. And we will gladly serve children's high tea in the early evening so that you can relax and enjoy dinner with your friends later, while they play in the sitting room nearby or have gone to bed! Or, if you all wish to eat together, your chef will tailor the food to suit. And on the chalet staff's night off we provide children's high tea and complimentary baby sitting so that the adults can - if they wish - have a child-free evening, secure in the knowledge that their children are being well looked after..
We are also happy to book ski lessons (available for children over the age of four), lift passes and ski equipment in advance and, if necessary, we can help you to arrange a nanny or babysitter, so that there is less to think about on your arrival.
Cots, high chairs, sterilisers, a selection of games, toys and children's DVDs are available in each chalet and, if requested, we can even stock up on nappies and wipes for you, to save you bringing them with you. We have a small number of pushchairs available too, or can hire these for you if needed. Please indicate your requirements on the booking form.
Purple Ski private nannies
For child care during the day, we now offer our own private nanny service for 5.5 days per week (8 consecutive hours per full day: usually 8.30 to 5pm, 8.30 to 12.30 on Wednesdays but flexible according to your requirements), to look after your children in the comfort of your chalet. This service must be pre-booked - availability is limited.
You can rest assured that your children are in safe hands. All our nannies are hand-picked, screened (including references and police checks) and trained by us. All are English speaking, qualified to NNEB or equivalent standard or have significant formal childcare experience, and all hold a first aid certificate.
As well as making their time as fun as possible, offering a variety of indoor and outdoor activities (such as sledging, building snowmen, arts and crafts, games and story telling), the Purple Ski nannies will also provide a healthy and nutritious lunch, drinks and snacks for children under their care.
Weekly costs per nanny are £675, though if a nanny is looking after more than 2 children, there is an charge of £100 per additional child. Note that, you will need one nanny per child under 2 years; for children aged 2 to 5 years, there is a maximum of two children per nanny. Please book early to ensure availability!

Katia, a qualified teacher and mother of two, has been operating in Meribel & the 3 Valleys since 2003; feedback about her and her team has always been very positive.
Also, for children between the ages of three and five, "Les P'tits Loups" kindergartens in Mottaret and Méribel are open between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. every day. The playgrounds are equipped with inflatable characters and ski tows; towards the middle of the week children start to learn the rudiments of skiing. During bad weather children can enjoy an air-conditioned chalet equipped with games and a rest area.
The Club Saturnin in Méribel can also look after children aged 18 months to 3 years.
