Mottaret

The best place from which to explore the Three Valleys

Mottaret - The best place from which to skiThe village is situated at the head of the Méribel Valley, four kilometres up the valley from Méribel at a height of 1,700m.

Mottaret is one of the highest resorts in Europe. It is bounded to the south by 'Le Parc National de la Vanoise', an area of outstanding natural beauty, but is less than an hour’s skiing from Courchevel and Val Thorens.

This undoubtedly makes Mottaret the best village from which to explore the Three Valleys.

With snow cannons covering all the runs into the resort, Mottaret is almost snow sure from December to April.

The village is made up of hotels, apartments and chalets built of local wood and stone, grouped around the central shops, restaurants and Office du Tourisme.

There is plenty of nightlife in Mottaret with Le Rastro being particularly popular. Mottaret has its own cinema and fitness centre.

There are also numerous shops to cater for every need, as well as a good selection of bars and restaurants.

See the map for Mottaret's location in the valley and click here for a map of Mottaret. Olympie III (48,G1) are located in Mottaret.
