Dear {FIRST_NAME}
Welcome to Purple Ski's first newsletter of 2011.
The nights are drawing in, the air is definitely getting chillier and it's now less than a month before Karen, Max and I head back
to Méribel (where snow has already fallen!).
So we thought it was about time to write to you and let you know about two very lovely new chalets that we have added to our
exclusive portfolio - we know they are going to be very popular, and in fact are already selling well.
These additions mean that Purple Ski now offers 5 luxury chalets, sleeping from 8 to 14 people - and they are without question the
most stunning chalets available to rent in Méribel.
We do still have some availability during the peak weeks:
Availability and prices are, as ever, always up to date on our website.
We also wanted to tell you about our new apartment in Cannes that is also available
to rent.
So please read on! As ever, if you have any questions please drop me a line or visit the web site.
You will find more details later on in the newsletter. If you have any questions please drop me a line or visit the
web site.
Two new chalets for Purple Ski
We are delighted to announce that, for the coming season, we have added 2 wonderful new chalets to our small portfolio. The stunning
ski in, ski out Chalet Zybeline at the Chaudanne and
Chalet La Varappe in the centre of Méribel.
Chalet Zybeline
Chalet Zybeline is a stunning, stylish chalet, recently
re-modelled and beautifully furnished in a contemporary alpine style by its Belgian owners. Its location could hardly be bettered
- it is that rarity in Méribel: a ski in ski out chalet at the bottom of the Georges Mauduit piste and a three minute
walk from the center of town. It is a stone's throw from Chalet Lapin Blanc
and shares the same architect.
Spread over five floors, with lift access to the upper floors, glass, metal and wood have been used as construction
materials for an exciting and modern take on the alpine chalet. The central atrium with its glass ceiling floods the interior of the
chalet with light.
Chalet Zybeline sleeps 12 guests in 6 twin / double rooms, each one individual
and with its own lovely bathroom. Facilities include a beautiful steam room, outdoor hot tub and TV room with its own bar.
For more information visit the Zybeline page on the web site.
Chalet Varappe
From the moment you walk into Chalet La Varappe you know
that you are somewhere rather special. Originally built by Mr Pomagalski (founder of the world-leading
Poma company), the chalet has, until now, been a private home.
A stand-alone chalet with large terraces and garden offering a wonderful view of the mountains, La Varappe sleeps 10 people in supreme
comfort.
The heart of the chalet is the delightful sitting room, with its beautiful stone fireplace, wonderful artworks and antiques, and decorated
with quintessential English charm. Each bedroom has an individual style and character; making each a delightful place to lay your
head. The chalet also offers a very private outdoor, sunken hot tub, a steam room, TV / games room and, of course, a large ski and
boot room.
La Varappe is located in the center of Méribel just a stone's throw from Chalet La Petite Pia and a short chauffeur-driven minibus ride from the
lift center of Méribel.
For more information visit the Varappe page Varappe page on the web site.
Cannes - Cote d'Azur, France
Karen
and I have always loved Cannes and are very excited to have recently bought a 3 bedroomed apartment there, which is available to rent
on a flexible basis throughout the year (self-catered only).
Our apartment is situated in the heart of the "Carre d'Or" of the exciting city of Cannes, behind the Majestic Hotel and just a stone's
throw from the Palais des Festivals, the Croisette and the wonderful shopping of the Rue d'Antibes and the surrounding streets. This
makes it ideally situated for both visitors attending one of the many congresses held in Cannes each year including the world famous
Cannes Film Festival, or for families coming to Cannes on holiday to take advantage of the wonderful weather, beaches, restaurants,
bars and shopping that Cannes and the Cote d'Azur has to offer.

The Team
8 returning staff; 60 years of Purple Ski experience! A team of 32.
Just a quick word about the 2011-2012 season team. As you may know, we believe our staff are the key to the success
Purple Ski has enjoyed over the years and to you having the perfect holiday. Karen has spent the summer putting together a wonderful
team of 32 (a staff to guest ratio of 1 to 2). Eight staff are returning from previous seasons (Mark will be on his sixth season with
us) and they are complemented by some new and wonderfully talented people. Once again, we are confident that we have the best team
in the business!
Among the returnees are Rob Hume (pictured right) who will be chef in Chalet La Varappe, Ben Mason in the office, Fi Carmody, Richard
Smith and Kevin Troy.
Full details of this season's staff will be published on our website soon.
We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you to Méribel but where ever you ski this winter, may I wish you a wonderful holiday.
Kind regards

Michael Broom Smith
