Personal Assistant
Where:
Méribel, France; Méribel is part of the Three Valleys, one the largest ski areas in the world.
When:

Salary:
from £110pw dependant on experience.
Package includes accommodation, food and drinks, ski pass, skis/board and boots, medical insurance, transport from London to and from the resort. Additional performance-based bonus will
also be awarded at the end of the season.
Age range: Over 21 years (for car insurance reasons)
Overview:
The purpose of this role is to provide general operational, administrative and other support to owners, also to support the chalets in housekeeping / service on at least 2 mornings.
Previous Experience
- Full driving licence and at least 3 years post qualification driving experience is essential.
- Prior hands-on experience in the hotel and catering industry in waitering/waitressing and/ or cleaning/chamber-maiding roles is highly desirable.
- Previous experience of driving large vehicles, on snow and/or overseas is desirable.
- Computer literacy (ideally skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word) is essential
- Competent at record keeping and document management
- Previous childcare experience essential, ideally with young children.
- Previous tutoring experience is desirable.
- Ability to converse in French is desirable.
Main Duties
- On the morning of changeover day (Sunday), helps dedicated chalet staff with the changeover cleaning and preparation of one chalet. Once this has been completed, helps with childcare in the afternoon.
- For the remainder of the week, typically works a "split shift basis", though on one day may be required to work all day, with the following duties / responsibilities (note that the pattern of each week is somewhat variable depending on the needs
of the business):
- performs general operational and administration tasks as required to help with the smooth running of the business, such as scanning and filing, shopping, helping with the management of guest gifts and toiletries and more,
- provides "day off" cover for a chalet assistant (breakfast service, housekeeping) in the chalets in the morning,
- provides childcare and tutoring
Other duties
- Supports in the organisation and delivery of start of season training, also the preparation of the chalets etc. before the start of the season.
- Jointly with owners, ensures that any accidents and emergencies involving guests or staff are promptly and effectively dealt with
- On an exceptional basis (in the event of staff absence/sickness etc.), provides emergency driving, housekeeping and waitressing cover as required
- On Sundays or other days as assigned, may be required to provide airport transfers for guests, meeting guests at the airport (usually Geneva, Chambery or Lyon) and/or train stations (generally Moutiers only) and transferring them safely to their chalet. Providing a welcome talk and picnic as appropriate during the trip. Also, may be required to return departing guests to the airport/train station.
