Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions and click on the I accept these Terms and Conditions button at the bottom of the page, which will then take you to the booking form.

  1. The Booking Form
Any person signing the booking form on behalf of others guarantees payment of the full cost of the holidays of all those mentioned on the booking form and of any others he may later add.
  2. Prices The prices stated for the chalets include dinner, bed, breakfast and drinks as described. Prices do not include travel, insurance of any nature, skis, ski passes or any other item not specifically referred to in the brochure.
  3. Deposits
The deposit is 25% of the total holiday cost and is not refunded under any circumstances, save for paragraph ix below.
  4. Balance
The balance of the cost of the holiday is payable eight weeks prior to its commencement or in full if booking within nine weeks of the commencement of the holiday. The full cost of the holiday must be received by Purple Ski (cleared funds) prior to a party's arrival at the chalet. Holidays booked within two weeks of the date they commence must be paid for by credit transfer or cash to Purple Ski's bank at the expense of the client.
  5. Price Guarantee
No currency surcharges. Once your holiday has been booked its price will not change even if the value of sterling falls.
  6. Credit/Debit Cards
This facility is provided by the French branch of Purple Ski, which means that the transaction will be charged in Euros. The rate charged will be that shown by the xe.com currency converter web site less €0.015 at the time the charge is made. If the amount charged to your credit/debit card in Sterling is different to the amount quoted in the booking confirmation, the difference must be absorbed by the client. Deposits and payments for lift passes can be paid free of service charge. If you wish to pay the balance of the cost of your holiday or for any other service not mentioned above by credit or debit card a service charge of 1.5% is made. I am afraid we are not able to accept Switch, Amex or Diners.
  7. Bookings
No booking is deemed to exist until a fully completed booking form has been received along with the appropriate deposit. Telephone bookings will be held for five working days, pending receipt of the appropriate deposit. Thereafter the booking will be deemed void and Purple Ski reserves the right to re-book part or the entire chalet without further notice.
  8. Services Provided by Third Parties
Bookings for extra services, such as taxis and ski lessons, made on your behalf by Purple Ski are subject to the terms and conditions laid down by the provider of the service and additional terms which may laid down by Purple Ski as well as these terms and conditions or similar being applied. Purple Ski does not warrant the standard or performance of any extra services. You take full responsibility for satisfying yourself as to the quality and the provider's ability to execute the services in advance and will address any grievance about the extra services by approaching the respective provider(s) directly.
  9. Cancellation by Purple Ski
If through circumstances beyond our control Purple Ski is forced to cancel your booking the client may elect for a full refund or a holiday in comparable accommodation if such accommodation is available. Circumstances beyond Purple Ski's control do not include events amounting to "force majeure". Force majeure means unusual and unforeseen events such as war or threat of war, riot, terrorism, natural disasters, fire, technical problems or accidents with airports, ports or transport, inclement weather or governmental action.
  10. Limitation of Liability
Where you do not suffer personal injury or death, Purple Ski's liability is limited to the invoiced holiday cost and under no circumstances extends to additional costs incurred in the taking of the holiday such as travel costs or pre-booked ski packs.
  11. Cancellation by the Client
If a holiday is cancelled by the client, a cancellation charge will be made as follows:

Days before holiday commences Cancellation charge as a %age of total cost
    More than 56 25%
    56 - 43 40%
    42 - 29 50%
    28 - 15 75%
    14 - 0 100%

Notification of cancellation must be in writing (email, fax or post) and cancellation charges will be calculated from the date of receipt of the written cancellation. Purple Ski takes no responsibility for non-delivery or non-receipt of the notification of cancellation. If the balance of the cost of the holiday is not received at least eight weeks prior to the day the holiday commences, the holiday may be deemed to be cancelled, and Purple Ski reserves the right to re-book part or all of the chalet without further notice. In practice every effort will be made to contact the client. Non receipt of the balance of the cost of the holiday will not be taken as notification of cancellation of the holiday and the client will be liable for cancellation charges as detailed above if they subsequently do cancel the holiday.
  12. Whole Chalet Bookings
Where a complete chalet is booked the whole chalet must be occupied or the empty bed charge paid for empty beds. Subsequently if part of the group cancels the full price for the whole chalet, less the appropriate empty bed discount must be paid. If the client subsequent to a whole chalet booking reduces the occupancy and does not wish to pay for empty beds then Purple Ski, at it's discretion, will deem the booking for the whole chalet to be cancelled and the cancellation charges above will apply to the whole chalet price.
  13. Other Groups
Purple Ski reserves the right to have other parties staying in the chalet unless the whole chalet is taken.
  14. Behaviour
Clients shall indemnify Purple Ski in respect of all and any claims made against Purple Ski as a result of damage caused to any of the chalets or any of their contents. All damage and breakages will be charged to the client and must be paid for before departure from the chalet. The client must undertake to behave in such a manner as not to disrupt the enjoyment of other guests staying in the chalet, or prejudice the reputation of Purple Ski with the owners of its chalets or local residents. The holiday of any client or party in breach of this clause may be terminated immediately and without compensation and Purple Ski will have no further obligation to them.
  15. Insurance
It is a condition of booking that all clients have insurance which provides comparable or greater cover under all sections to that offered by Purple Ski.
  16. Law and Jurisdiction
The contract between us and any matters arising from it will be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
