When staying with Purple Ski you have the flexibility to choose how to get to Méribel and, perhaps as important, your travel times.
Fly
Getting to Méribel couldn't be easier, hop on a plane to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambery, we'll arrange for a vehicle to meet you, which will whisk you to your chalet in two and half hours or less.
The nearest airport to Méribel is Chambery. This small airport is just over an hour from Méribel and for our UK visitors, is serviced by a growing number of low cost airlines.
Geneva is the main airport for Méribel, with numerous international flights from across the globe.
Two other airports convenient for Méribel are Lyon and Grenoble. For details of who flies where see the grid below.
Our recommendation for guests arriving from the UK would be to fly with British Airways into Lyon. The start to your holiday will be more enjoyable but more importantly if they have to cancel you flight for, say, bad weather, they will have another flight which you can catch but the next low cost airline flight might not be until the next day.
For details of who flys where why not try the Skyscanner search facility or, if travelling from the UK, use our airport grid below.

For a good centralised online car hire booking service try Holiday Autos.co.uk. Or you can book direct with one of the larger companies like Avis, Budget and Hertz.
By road
Méribel is only about 600 miles from Calais and, if coming from Southern England, this can make driving a convenient and economic way to get to the chalet, especially if you have a large party with lots of luggage. The roads are excellent, and the traffic problems, for which Méribel was infamous, have now largely disappeared.
The journey time is approximately 10 hours and total toll cost is about €60 each way.
If you are looking for a place to stop overnight en-route, why not look at Chateau de la Motte, a small moated chateau almost exactly halfway between London and the Alps?
If you are looking to stay in Moutiers or Brides les Bains the night before, so as to be on the piste on Sunday morning, there are several hotels in which to stay all of which are reasonably priced. Their telephone numbers can be found in the useful telephone numbers page. or alternatively contact us and we should be able to find a hotel room for you but do book as far ahead as possible.
