Here are a few of examples of comments and emails we have received from our guests this season so far, we think that they give you a flavour of the level of service that we offer:

 

December 2006 - Iamato WCR: The most efficient pre-booking service I have experienced. Your drivers were extremely effiecient and very friendly. The chalet was superb. Food excellent. Coming from the Australian Wine industry myself, I dont believe I could have selected better wines. The staff really made the holiday for us. They could not have been more friendly or helpful. Overall impression? Simply the best.

March 2007 - Iamato SOS: I wanted to drop you a line to express my pleasure at staying at Iamato last week. The accommodation was lovely, and we were treated like royalty by all your staff.

Your staff were, without exception, a credit to the company. They had a relaxed, yet efficient and confident style that made the holiday problem-free.

The highlights were the food and wine. The evening meals were outstanding and my bottomless champagne glass was great. Even the breakfasts were an event. I do not know what you will do next season, without Steve. Maybe Gordon Ramsey would come over!

From a marketing point-of-view, you should make more of the fantastic services provided by Andy and his colleagues. Being taken to and from the slopes, when you need it. As well as putting our ski equipment in the minibus is such a boon (especially when I always have my children in tow). I cannot tell you how much of a difference that made to the holiday.

January 2007 - Iamato GF: Thank you once again for making our annual ski holiday at Meribel a memorable and flawless experience. This year was absolutely perfect right down to the snowfall on queue on Tuesday night. The staff were superb, the catering first class and the spa warm.

February 2007 - Rousillon SB: Although you always do some research before booking a trip, you never really know what to expect and its always so lovely when expectations are exceeded like this and you stumble upon a gem!

Felt like being at home but in a luxurious style. The staff were brilliant - so friendly and welcoming, you felt like you were staying with friends, yet they were so professional. Particularly impressed by staff & Sylvain getting up so early on the leaving day to make us breakfast before we left. Unexpected but a lovely touch.

A truly brilliant mini van service! Just what we needed at the end of a gruelling day on the slopes. It's facilities like this that are the icing on the cake and make the whole experience so memorable.

February 2007 - Rousillon LMI: Just to say a huge thank you to all your staff at the Rousillion - they made our holiday the best skiing holiday we have ever had – the whole team were professional, friendly and could not do enough for us – we will absolutely be booking with Purple ski next year!!!

There are not enough adjectives listed in the thesaurus to sum up what we all thought of Flick and Kelly. Nothing was to much trouble, they were happy, fun, efficient and thoughtful. A pleasure to have around. The kids got on with them so well as did all the adults. I hope they can come back to Purple Ski next year, I would use them in part of your advertising campaign.

December 2006 - Olympie TK: Tim's cooking was the highlight of our trip - his cooking in both taste and presentation was spectacular. However, Helen's professionalism with the service of our meals definitely contributed a great deal to our enjoyment. We felt like we were eating in a five star restaurant every night.

The ease of the transport was magnificent

February 2007 - Olympie HG: We just came back from a wonderful ski holiday. very impressed with your staff. Best staff we could wish for. Ryan's cooking was excellent. Combinations original.
December 2006 - Olympie BR: Would definitely return. Main selling point is general admin. Met at airport. Skis and passes arranged. Transport on tap. Skis put in minibus. Guide fixed....

ABOUT THE HOLIDAY IN GENERAL

 

March 2006 - Olympie III MW: Many thanks for a lovely holiday. We had a really relaxing week, in beautiful surroundings, and with superb service. The food was amongst the best we've ever had, and the service was first rate. Pete and Leesa made sure we had everything we needed, and more. We only had to say the word and it was done! Pete's enthusiasm for his art turned meal times into something very special. Please give our thanks to everyone - they were all so friendly and helpful that we felt as though we were at home.

December 2006 - Iamato AS: Top quality with attention to detail making all the difference.

March 2006 - Iamato AM: Excellent. All aspects thought about, planned and taken care of which resulted in a very enjoyable and hassle free holiday. Already recommending your company to others, and very pleased to do so.

March 2006 - Sapineaux IC: Just a brief note to let you what a wonderful time we had. We came with high expectation but nonetheless these were surpassed. You run a wonderful operation - the entire staff is so pleasant and helpful and all our encounters with them were a pure delight. Emma and Daniel, in particular, were a class by themselves - charming, very helpful and true artists in cooking. Our dinners were a culinary delight to remember.

February 2006 - Rousillon KM: I cannot thank you enough for the fantastic holiday we enjoyed. Everything that you say on your web site is actually better in reality! The whole holiday was a totally relaxing experience which was exactly what was required. I have no doubt that this sentiment would be endorsed by everybody staying that week. I think we were fortunate with the people we shared the chalet with and if it is possible to forward our gratitude to them it would be appreciated. All of your staff stated how much they enjoyed working for Purple Ski and the way they are looked after by you. At the risk of 'over egging the pudding' I would just like to thankyou once again for such a memorable holiday and look forward to returning next year.


ABOUT THE FOOD AND WINES

 

January 2006 - Olympie III SOC: Pete's excellence as a chef, and the pride and care he took in his work really shone through in all our meals. His dinners were always excellent in fact anticipation of the forthcoming evening meal quickly became a hot topic of daily conversation. Both the preparation and presentation of meals was first class. And Pete was very careful and quick to identify and be aware of our allergies/likes and dislikes. It would have beaten many a chef to deal with the combinations but he rose to and excelled at the challenge. Such was the gourmet curiosity among us, that I know a sneaky peek was taken into his kitchen to see his range of oils, and ingredients but whether any of my sisters can re-create his meals to his level of excellence I doubt! In addition, his experience with wines meant that he was able to explain how the wines complimented the meals, why the wines were chosen, and how the tastes would interact. Because his knowledge is so extensive, he was able to give us a little chat in the evening about the history, and style of the cheeses he was serving. The catering was terrific. Service provided was attentive without being obtrusive.
March 2006 - Olympie III NW:Specialist wines with dinner every evening was a great touch. Pete's menus were out of this world - everyone was gobsmacked by the level of food we received daily and the attention to detail that went into it.

Dec 2006 - Iamato AS: Everything was first class

January 2006 - Sapineaux LO: I thought the food was absolutely fabulous and Emma and Daniel should be congratulated on the high standards and excellent service - they really were fab especially when we had so many chefs and Michelin stars in our party !!!

January 2006 - Sapineaux IC: In my professional as well as personal capacity, I travel extensively and have experienced high quality hospitality in various parts of the world but the experience with Emma and Daniel tops it all. My account will not be complete without some words on their cooking. Emma and Daniel are master chefs and the quality of the gourmet food they prepared compares with top restaurants anywhere in the world. -

ABOUT THE MASSAGE SERVICE

March 2006 - Rousillon SA: Julia was excellent. I had specific knee problems which she advised on and helped ease. -

January 2005 DM: I had occasion to use the massage service provided by Liz, and I have to compliment you on employing such a well qualified physiotherapist to provide this service. As a general practitioner I recognised her excellent standards of professionalism and competence.

February 2005 HM: The best massage I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few)!!!!

February 2005 DH: I like to have a massage whenever I can and Liz is one of the best I have had for a long time - excellent (hence demand outstripped supply on the second day)


ABOUT THE STAFF AND SERVICE IN GENERAL:

 

January 2006 - Olympie III SOC: It is very apparent that a huge amount of thought is put into, and work is done to make a Purple Ski holiday an exceptional experience. There is huge attention to detail, and the little details are what makes the difference every aspect from the obvious care in choosing staff, to the wines, the properties etc. seemed to have been addressed. In my opinion your staff are a key winner for Purple Ski.

December 2006 - Sapineaux AC: Emma and Daniel were terrific hosts and made us feel welcome, special and at home. Fantastic choice of chalet staff who knew how to make sure we were all looked after.

April 2006 - Sapineaux SP: Daniel and Emma were superb. They bent over backwards to make us all feel welcome and consistently surprised us with the level of service provided. I can safely say that I have never been on a holiday where the staff care this much for their guests. -

December 2006 - Rousillon JR: Incredibly helpful,friendly and professional staff. I would give 5 or 6 stars.

December 2004 Iamato JC: The staff you encounter in any service industry can make or break a holiday. The warmth, courtesy, charm and dedication of the team at Chalet Iamato is second to none.

March 2005 Iamato SD: Staff could not have been better. The best service we have received, even in Leading Hotels of the World.

January 2005 Rousillon DH: a superb team who really know how to get the balance right between service and friendliness
February 2005 Rousillon JC: Attentive, amusing, helpful, professional and many other superlatives...

February 2005 Sapineaux MT: Don't know quite where to start - both Izzy and Rod were simply fantastic. They're attention to detail, patience, friendliness and professionalism were the icing on the cake of our first ever skiing holiday. Rod's food was amazing - he had my son eating and trying foods he wouldn't at home (and he has kept it up since returning!). Izzy was just superb: she was there instantly when we needed her but seemed to just quietly get on with what she needed to and melt into the background at other times. On the first night I asked for a decaff coffee instead of a caffeinated one after supper, and each subsequent night she would remember and ask me if I wanted one again - a little example, but it made a huge difference. She is a huge asset to your company.

January 2005 Olympie JPA: Jenn and Ty.. could not have made us happier. They made our stay the best any of us have ever had, bar none, everywhere and anywhere.


ABOUT THE TRANSPORT/DRIVING SERVICE WITHIN THE VALLEY

 

March 2006 AM: Worked much better than we expected. Guys were great - friendly, helpful and always prompt. Made a huge difference in terms of the overall impression of our holiday as access to/from the slopes is always the major hassle point with young children.

April 2006 NK: The drivers were excellent and this service is great for keeping families sorted out with different ski abilities, lessons etc.

December 2006 - AC: A BRILLIANT BONUS

December 2006 - FP: The drivers were very friendly and helpful.
January 2006 - SOC: I thought that the way you handled our arrival was excellent. You showed wonderful understanding of and flexibility to our needs. Our flight was delayed, diverted to Lyons and finally cancelled altogether. It was frustrating for the young girls, and I thought the way you came to Lyons to collect us was great. It rescued what was a bad start to the holiday (the girls first ski experience) and transformed it to a good start. Thank You.

February 2005 MK: The minibus was such a luxury great. Liked the fact that you could call during the day.
March 2005 WF: The bus service on demand was superb.


ABOUT THE LIFT PASS AND SKI HIRE SERVICE

 

January 2006 - Olympie III SOC: It was great that the ski-provider came to the chalet especially for the children.

January 2006 - Sapineaux LO: I was very impressed with the ski hire man coming to the chalet - I always dreaded that first trip into the village and the trek back carrying boots etc so this seemed a very efficient way to do things and meant that even for a short break we were on the slopes by 1.30pm.

January 2005 Rousillon RC: Was fantastic to have it all done in the chalet on arrival. We had skiis hired, lessons booked, lift passes organised within 1 hour of arrival at 7pm. This meant we could go straight to the slopes after breakfast on day 2, saving possibly 1/2 day skiing.

January 2005 Olympie RP: Excellently organised and, despite our late arrival, our passes were all ready for us on the first morning.
February 2005 Sapineaux DT: It was so handy having the skis/boots delivered to the chalet, and collected at the end - safes one great lot of hassle!

March 2005 Iamato AD: Truly great service with ski rentals and lift passes. This really adds value!
