Chalet Assistant/Driver

As a Chalet Assistant / Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and memorable stay from arrival to departure.
This is a varied and rewarding position combining guest service, chalet operations, and resort driving responsibilities. You will work closely with the Chalet Manager, Chef, and Resort Team to maintain the highest standards across every aspect of chalet life.
Life in resort is fast-paced, team-oriented, and incredibly rewarding. While hard work and flexibility are essential, the role also offers the opportunity to enjoy the mountains, ski or snowboard, meet new people, and be part of an exciting winter season abroad.
The Role
Reporting to the Chalet Manager and Resort Manager, the Chalet Assistant / Driver is responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the chalet while delivering a safe, professional, and friendly driving service for guests and staff.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and thrives in a hands-on environment.
Essential Requirements
- Full driving licence with a minimum of 3 years’ driving experience
- At least 2 years’ professional driving experience (passenger or goods transport), or a valid Driver CPC qualification
- Experience driving large vehicles, in snowy conditions, or overseas is highly desirable
- Previous hospitality experience, particularly housekeeping, waitressing, or guest service roles, is advantageous
- Positive, reliable, and flexible attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of service
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
- Deliver a warm, welcoming, and professional guest experience
- Assist guests with enquiries, bookings, equipment issues, and resort information
- Support guests throughout their stay and communicate any concerns to management where required
- Ensure smooth handovers and continuity of service on days off
Chalet Operations
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the chalet
- Assist with housekeeping duties including bed making, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, and tidying
- Support meal service, including table setting, serving, clearing, and washing up
- Replenish chalet supplies, manage firewood, and clear snow from chalet access areas
- Maintain hot tubs and spa facilities in line with hygiene and safety standards
- Assist with chalet changeovers, stock management, and seasonal setup/shutdown
Driving Duties
- Provide safe, punctual, and professional guest transport within the resort and valley
- Carry out airport and train station transfers, including informative welcome briefings
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete regular vehicle checks and reporting
- Ensure full compliance with French road laws and Purple Ski safety procedures
- Support resort driving operations and assist with staff or emergency transport when required
Additional Support
- Assist with deliveries, supplies, linen coordination, and chalet logistics
- Collect fresh bakery items, gas bottles, and essential supplies as needed
- Provide support across other chalets or resorts during busy periods or staff absences

Whilst we are happy to have UK staff and help arrange your Visa to work in France, we will not be able to proceed with UK applicants past September 2026 due to Visa timeframes.
For driving roles, you must have an EU passport, full Driving Licence for the country that your passport is issued, minimum two years previous professional driving experience, and be aged over 21 for vehicle insurance purposes.
