Here are just a few of examples of comments and emails we have received from guests last season (2017-2018); we think that they give you a flavour of the level – and consistency – of the service that we deliver:

LES BARTAVELLES

December – Katie K – Just wanted to say what an amazing week we had - the staff were outstanding. Alice is just so gorgeous and so helpful. Becks did everything to accommodate our difficult food requests and the food was amazing. Tom and Ben were lovely too and couldn't do more for us. The chalet was so perfect. Homely and yet luxurious with the added benefit of Neal's Yard products.

January – Caroline H – We have just enjoyed the most spectacular week at Bartavelles. I can honestly say that from the first welcome from the superlative staff it has been pure luxury. They are the most professional yet friendly staff I have come across with no effort spared and all done with gracious ease. Diego's cooking needs a special mention for his outstanding combination of unusual ingredients, his inventiveness and his quiet enthusiasm for his job. It has been pure pleasure staying in this beautiful, luxurious chalet looked after by such an attentive team.

February – Annie S – The chalet itself is beautiful and incredibly comfortable but the real bonus is how well we were looked after by Alice, Tom, Eliza and Diego. They are a fantastic team and I just wanted to let you know how wonderful we all thought they were. The food was absolutely delicious and everything we could have wished for was provided with ease.

March – Holly A – I just wanted to send a note, that I hope you can share with the wider team, to thank you all for the most wonderful couple of weeks in Meribel. The set up for arrival was perfect, particularly for the little ones. Between Alice, Tom, Eliza and Diego we were terrifically well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was met with a friendly and helpful response. We honestly miss them all now we are back in London.

April – Alice B – We had a faultless holiday. Everything was wonderful - the staff amazing. All the children adored Tom in particular. Diego was a miracle - we wish him the very best of luck.

April – David R – It is a marvellous chalet in every respect that worked so well for all the family and we were looked after wonderfully well throughout. In particular, we cannot commend the staff highly enough - Alice, Tom, Diego and all the team. They were attentive and have a great can do attitude - nothing was too much trouble. Diego's cooking was exceptional and well matched with Mark Savage's delicious wines. We would certainly use Purple Ski again.

FOINSBOIS

December/January – Danielle A – We had a wonderful time thank you so much. We thought the staff were wonderful especially Yin-Chen (what a jewel) and all the drivers.

January – Bart M – Fifth time in Foinsbois, feels like home! Thanks beautiful staff of Purple Ski; Yin-Chen you were the best cook, Lily and Suzie you made our stay very comfortable, Jack thanks for your happy face while driving us everywhere! You were the best!

February – Ben B – Amongst the various different chalet companies we have visited over the past decade, Purple Ski is at the top of the list as one of my favourites where the teams are happy, the chefs have been great and everything has run smoothly with the team represented. Special thanks to Yin-Chen who rocked it this week, especially Friday night.. There were so many courses and for her to cook her heart out of that kitchen.. definitely impressed.. she was so organised and the quality was top!

LAPIN BLANC

December – Oksana O – Thank you for the BEST winter holiday. A huge thank you to all the team for attending to all our needs, no matter how big or small. Ross' cooking has never disappointed us, in fact only surprised us every day! There are no words to express how grateful we are. Thank you again and we hope to return to this winter paradise.

January – Michael A – It was excellent. No ideas on how to improve it! Team at Lapin Blanc brilliant.

February – Alex H – We had the most wonderful time and I have to say that the crew in Lapin Blanc are just the sweetest, capable team and a joy to be around. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them and Alice and Ross are simply amazing; one offs. Hannah in your office was so patient and efficient and I really can't thank her enough for dealing with the endless emails, flight admin, restaurant bookings etc etc - what a star and so willing. Thank you so much Karen, your company is faultless.

March – Eric M – Excellent experience and I will most definitely recommend to others.

LA PETITE PIA

December – Mandy B – One of the best holidays we have experienced and we have been to many 5 star hotels and resorts around the world.

January – Yvonne M – Your recruitment strategy is great. All the staff were so efficient, friendly and perfect for their roles. They got on so well as a team. They all spoke so well of the company and we thoroughly enjoyed their company ... You can't improve on perfection.

January – Angela W – As you know it is 15 years since we stayed with Purple Ski, we have no idea why it took us so long to return, but OMG it was soooooo worth it. The chalet was lovely, our room was perfect, the staff were superb and the food was exquisite! Michael, Jodie and Bobby were our main chalet staff and they all could not do more to make us feel welcome and at home in the chalet ... The relief staff were also equally friendly and efficient, we could not fault anything. All in all a wonderful holiday with fabulous weather and improved ski-ing! We hope to see you all again but sooner than 15 years!

February – Angus J – You must be one of the best boutique chalet operators in the alps.

February – Anna H – We had just the loveliest of times ever and I would not like to criticise any of it in any way. Your staff were so kind to us and it was a very special time indeed.

February – Jamie B – I just wanted to write and thank you for an excellent ski holiday last week. It's clear from all the staff how much they enjoy working with Purple Ski and it's reflected in the service they offer. Thrown in at the deep end Ady cooked us some delicious food and I recommend you try his smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs – you won't be disappointed! Bobby has a fantastic attitude towards the guests and nothing was too much trouble for him and Jodie was a fantastic manager, bringing our whole week together. Meanwhile, my wife Charlie was delighted the Champagne was truly unlimited and it's fair to say this was our best stay in Meribel. Unfortunately, I'm now sorely tempted to return on the 18th March although I think my office would go ballistic. We'll definitely be back to stay with Purple Ski again and I have no hesitation recommending you as the best chalet option I've found yet.

March – Greg K – Most charming chalet we have experienced to date. Our chef, Ady Martin, and the rest of the chalet team were truly fantastic!

LA VARAPPE

December – Stephen C – My headlines would be: great year; best team ever; Joe was outstanding; Amy, the chalet host, was equally outstanding; and Euan we liked enormously. All in all, we had a good time. See you next year.

January – Marie A – [Translated from French] We are very happy with our stay. The Purple Ski team is perfect, very discreet, efficient and the chef is fantastic. Amy is very professional and efficient. Our driver Euan was exceptionally kind and receptive. Holly was adorable and a very good masseuse! And our chef really spoiled us!

February – Stef M – The staff was really amazing. You have done a superb job in selecting and training the right people. We work in the hospitality industry ourselves and we know how difficult it is to hire and retain the right people. They were just wonderful, all of them; couldn't have been better!

February – Alexandr P – Many thanks for the excellent organization of our winter mountain holiday in your cozy, designed chalet. I want to note also the attentive staff and the delicious cuisine in the performance of your chef. I hope in the future I will definitely visit your beautiful chalets more than once, and I will surely advise my friends to visit you.

March – Michael G – I have been lucky enough to be a guest in your chalets for a number of years now and they spoil one for anything else! Your team in Varappe this year were particularly good - incredibly helpful and really nice. Amy could not do enough to look after us all but all the team were excellent and I am sure you know what a great chef you have there - he is outstanding and will go far.

March – Millie P – We had the best week at Chalet La Varappe. All the team were wonderful. Polite, smiley, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Joe was the best cook I have ever been lucky enough to come across out skiing. I can't believe he is still so young and produced such fantastic food and all so beautifully presented. The chalet is extremely comfortable and all in all we could not have been more spoilt or had a happier time!

ZYBELINE

December – Derrick H – Excellent. Very well run company, employing intelligent, helpful people who went out of their way to make our holiday go extremely smoothly.

January – Keith and Joyce R – Many thanks from us for giving us such a wonderful holiday in this lovely chalet. It has really felt like a "home from home". We both appreciate all the effort you and all the other Purple Ski staff have put into making our holiday special. All the best to you all.

March – Gilles, Chantal, Philippe, Carine, & co. – Just as each year we had a wonderful holiday. The smiling service provided by Dan, Rosie, Pete, Cameron and Jess were an important part of our happiness. Dan managed to surprise us by his creativity and inventiveness at each of his dishes. It is with a heavy heart that we depart for Belgium, but also with much enthusiasm to come back.

March – Lauren A – Amazing holiday. It was so nice to relax, enjoy and experience the detail from the picnics on arrival to the night time scents burning in the room and the excess of incredible food from breakfast through until after cheese and petit fours.
