The Purple Ski Difference

The perfect skiing holiday isn’t just about skiing – it’s also about the ease of getting to and from the slopes, the comfort and relaxation at the end of the day and the exquisite food and wine that makes every evening special. We understand that it’s the finer details that make all the difference, which is why we do everything we can to ensure your Purple Ski experience exceeds your expectations.

“We were blown away by our holiday - it was the best skiing experience we have ever had. The combination of perfect skiing conditions, a lovely chalet, friendly staff who went out of their way to make the holiday a memorable one and fabulous food all contributed to a fantastic holiday.”

Purple Ski People

Our people are at the heart of the Purple Ski philosophy and the consistent delivery of high level service for which we’re renowned. They are our greatest asset.

We take pride not only in making sure our guests have the best possible skiing holiday, but also in being a great company to work for. We hire people based on their skills, experience and attitude and expect the highest standards of work from them. And in return, we make sure they’re well rewarded and get to spend the most time possible enjoying themselves.

Meet Our Team

Exceptional Service

Spa and Wellness

All our chalets have outdoor hot tubs; six also have either a steam room/hammam or sauna. Help keep yourself injury-free and on top form for skiing, or simply relax and ease away the aches and pains from a hard day pummelling the pistes, not to mention the tensions of everyday life.

Purple Ski is one of the few companies to employ in-house therapists. We have two permanent, qualified and very experienced massage therapists on our team this year who’ll treat you in the comfort of your chalet, which means no travelling to and from your session.

We’d recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The cost is €75 per 50 minute session and €55 for a 25 minute session.

Treatments can be pre-booked by emailing hannah@purpleski.com or arranged once you've arrived in resort.

Other services such as hairdressing, facials, manicures and pedicures are also available. Simply contact us for more information.

“I had two massages and my knees strapped the girls were fantastic and one of the best neck/back massages I've ever had”

Meet our Masseuses

Holly Farmer, Chalet Assistant/Masseuse - Age 25

Holly Farmer Holly is a very caring person and her desire to improve the lives of others motivated her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. She graduated with a First Class degree in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2014, having obtained a solid foundation in a range of areas including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, acute stroke rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and rebound therapy, and elderly rehabilitation. During her training she also delivered therapeutic massage as part of a weekly massage clinic. She joins us from a major trauma centre in the north of the UK where she held a senior role as a Band 6 Musculoskeletal and Neurological Physiotherapist. Alongside her current role, she has been a trust representative for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for two years and has supported student physiotherapists through undergraduate placements. She loves to teach and pass on her knowledge and experience, which stemmed from the 6+ years she spent working as a karate instructor for children aged 4 – 12.

In addition to karate (she reached the grade of 2nd dan and has competed internationally), Holly’s other hobbies include travelling, keeping fit, and teaching. She first tried skiing earlier this year when visiting Sara (who worked for us as a masseuse last season), and immediately fell in love with Méribel and wanted to follow in Sara’s footsteps at Purple Ski! Holly is positive, friendly, welcoming, as well as very sporty and hard-working – we are thrilled to have her on the team.

Jess Lester, Chalet Assistant/Masseuse - Age 23

Jess Lester Jess completed her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation in Sport and Exercise earlier this year and has since started her own business offering treatments, in particular deep-tissue massage services. She also supports a local netball team providing treatment and pitch-side cover and has been working as a sports therapist at Ironman Triathlon Wales, offering both pre- and post-event massage. During her degree, Jess assisted in a public clinic providing massage and other treatment techniques (such as stretching, mobilisations and ultrasound). Alongside this she had a placement at an NHS-referred back pain clinic, which progressed into further experience with a cancer group, prescribing exercise to sufferers as a form of therapy to maintain and increase their fitness, as well as providing a social support network.

Jess also has extensive customer service experience and is currently working part-time as a Guest Services Assistant in an award-winning hotel, where she helps run the reception and leads a small team preparing and serving breakfast. Previously, she spent a summer season working for PGL France as Housekeeping and Maintenance Assistant. It was here that she first fell in love with France, and after attending her university ski trip last year, she decided a ski season in France was a must-do for her! She is very active and has various sporting interests such as basketball, squash, and participating in triathlons. She also enjoys travelling, which she did during her gap year in Mexico whilst volunteering as an English teacher. Jess is thoughtful, fun-loving, and loves to be part of a team – it will be a pleasure to welcome her to the Purple Ski family this season.

Chauffeured Minibus Service

We operate a small fleet of Volkswagen Caravelle luxury minibuses, which are always on hand to make it a breeze getting to and from the slopes. Equipped with ABS brakes, traction control and passenger airbags, your safety is our first priority.

Hassle-free days

Our minibus service is, we believe, second to none. With a driver and eight seater minibus for every chalet and someone on-call throughout the day, there’s no waiting around in the morning when the powder beckons, no pre-assigned slots when a ski school appointment has to be met and no standing around at the end of the day when your thoughts have turned to champagne and hot tubs, or tea in front of a roaring fire…

And if you want to get back to your chalet in the middle of the day, we’re there too!

In the mornings, your personal driver, dedicated to your chalet, will be on hand in a toasty warm vehicle from 08.30 until 10.30 if needed, to take you to the slopes and help you load and unload your skis (and children!).

One of our drivers remains on duty and on-call from 10.30 to 17.30 (all our drivers have mobile phones). With just 20 minutes notice he/she can pick you up from anywhere in the Méribel Valley and take you back to your chalet.

After 17.30 and before dinner, your designated chalet driver is available to pick you up and take you back to the chalet.

You can be driven to, and picked up from, anywhere you wish* within the Méribel Valley. Your private chauffeur service continues after dinner if needed (please pre-book with your driver before you sit down to dinner), until 12.00 midnight.

Meet Our Chauffeurs

“All your lovely drivers were so helpful carrying our skis and collecting us from any point in Méribel. We have always gone for ski in ski out chalets in the past, but this opens up a different level of service.”

Children and Childcare

Children love staying with Purple Ski, and so do their parents. We’re always looking for ways to make your holiday and your children’s as happy and hassle-free as possible.

For instance, our chauffeured minibuses mean you don’t have to worry about getting the little ones and their ski equipment to or from the pistes. And we’ll gladly serve children’s high tea in the early evening so that you can relax and enjoy dinner with your friends later, while they play in the sitting room nearby or go to bed! Or, if you wish to eat together, your chef will tailor the food to suit young palates. On the chef’s night off, we provide children’s high tea and complimentary babysitting so that the adults can – if they wish – have a child-free evening, secure in the knowledge that their children are well looked after.

We’re also happy to book ski lessons (available for children over the age of four), lift passes and ski equipment in advance so that there’s less to think about when you arrive.

Children’s equipment such as cots, high chairs, sterilisers, baby listeners, a selection of games, sledges, toys and children’s DVDs are available and we can even stock up on nappies and wipes to save you bringing them with you. We also have a small number of pushchairs available, or can hire these for you if needed. Please indicate your requirements on the booking form.

For childcare during the day, we’re fortunate to have some fantastic childcare companies and professionals operating in Méribel and with whom we have excellent relationships. They’re able to offer private nannies to look after your children in the comfort of your chalet.

All the nannies we recommend and work with have been personally screened by us (including checking references and police records), so you can rest assured your children are in safe hands. All are English speaking, qualified to NNEB or equivalent standard or have significant formal childcare experience, and all hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.

This service must be pre-booked as availability is limited. You can either book a nanny for the whole week or outside school holiday periods more flexible packages are available.

In the first instance please contact Hannah at hannah@purpleski.com or call +44 1885 488 799.

Please book early to ensure availability!
