MARA NYIKA CAMP - KENYA SLEEPS UP TO 12

A HAVEN OF PRIVACY AND NATURAL BEAUTY IN THE NABOISHO CONSERVANCY

In Swahili, the word ‘Nyika’ means ‘great plains’, and this name could hardly be more fitting for the Mara Nyika Camp. Occupying an acacia-shaded spot surrounded by the immense open savannah, and visited by a trickling seasonal stream, the camp has become synonymous with privacy, tranquility, and seclusion. It is located in the exclusive Naboisho Conservancy but also enjoys access to the wider Maasai Mara National Reserve, assuring you unforgettable encounters with a rich diversity of wildlife. A Relais & Châteaux member, it brings you all the comforts and luxurious touches you’d expect from a top-tier hotel, set against some of Kenya’s most breathtaking and remote-feeling landscapes.

The camp’s six divine, canvas tented suites are perched just under the tree canopy and connected by walkways, ensuring uninterrupted views across the plains. Each one possesses its own private verandah, where you can take in a world-class sunset or simply enjoy the sounds of the surrounding wilderness.

In the main part of the camp, you’ll find spacious decks with prime views and a fire pit for evenings under the stars. The beautifully designed interiors comprise a relaxed seating area, dining space, library, and a wine cellar where you can indulge in a tasting or special meal. Smaller groups can enjoy the privacy and intimacy of their own dining space, whether in the library, wine cellar or dining area, creating a real sense of being away from it all. Alternatively, the entire camp can be booked exclusively for groups of up to 12 for a completely private experience.

Mara Nyika Camp is part of the Great Plains Réserve Collection, and is the ultimate place to get away from it all and immerse yourself in pristine nature.
